Britney Spears Loses Kids To K-Fed.

Yesterday, California judge, Scott Gordon, ordered Britney Spears to hand over her two children, 2 year old Sean Preston and 1 year old Jayden James to their loser dad Kevin Federline. Well, apparently she’s a bigger loser than he is, so perhaps I should ease up on K-Fed. This is a stunning blow to Britney. I wonder what repercussions this will have on her attempt to make over her hard-partying image and the effects it will have on her career.
After the head shaving, cocaine and alcohol binges, rehab stints, shot of her crotch, bad press and disastrous MTV Video Music Awards performance, it’s not certain her career can recover. She was dropped by her management company three weeks ago. That’s a massive hit to her career. It’s mind-boggling when you think how quickly her life has spun out of control. She was on top of the world just three years ago. How does your life end up this jacked up at 25 when you’re a kazillionare pop star who’s got the world in the palm of your hand?
After her hit-and-run parking lot incident, which revealed she was driving without a license and testimony from her former bodyguard, Tony Baretto, that she was a cocaine user, it’s not too surprising to hear of the judge’s ruling. Two weeks ago he branded Britney a “habitual, frequent and (this is the key part) continuous” drug user, so I guess that was all the foreshadowing you’d need on this one. She has to go to court on October 10th for the hit-and-run, driving without a license charges. The kids must be handed over immediately and its been reported in the media that they are probably already with Federline.

How funny is this sh#t? There must be something funky in the water in Tennessee. And did he just make a threat??? Deal with “me not Britney”? This is gonna live in my video collection forever. Staged, not staged… I don’t care. This is DAMN funny. I fell out of my seat laughing.

Don’t call it a comeback.
I’m not really sure if chunky Britney Spears’ triumphant return to the stage at the VMA Awards qualifies as a comeback. She’s been in the news too much. Not for good reasons, but, still we’ve seen a lot of her ass. However, not quite as much as in this performance, but hey… she had to do something to distract from the part that this wasn’t exactly a live live performance.
She kind of got the cold shoulder from her peers, though. Not that I’m a fan (I wore one of those “Spear Britney” t-shirts until one day it just refuse to get out of the laundry basket), but they could’ve been a little bit nicer. To be honest, most of them suck too.
It’s not like she was the only one in the room that had to battle through substance abuse problems. Or the only one who can’t sing. I’m only lukewarm on the track and the performance, but I have to say, it is very nice to see her take this big step in getting her career back on track and it’s very cool of MTV to play a role in that.
