DESTINY’S CHILD “8 Days of Christmas”.

December 22, 2007
I love holiday music. I know it makes me seem like a girl or something, but I think it’s pretty cool. The holiday season is pretty great, whatever religion you practice. Any excuse for people to be cool with each other can’t be all bad. Anyway, as far as holiday music goes this song is pretty cool, especially when it’s sung by three hot babes.

Now, that’s fly. What a beautiful color combination. I didn’t know Alexander McQueen made such beautiful eyewear. It isn’t something I associate with him, I don’t know why. My mistake.

4HERO “Morning Child”.

December 20, 2007

This is one of my favorite songs of 2007. The British duo, 4Hero, so well-known for drum & bass, and more techno/electronic oriented music has been very quietly redefining soul for some time now. Their CD, Playing With The Changes is the consummation of those efforts.

I Am Legend Makes Box Office History.

December 17, 2007

Big Will Smith’s new flick, I Am Legend brought in $76.5 million smackers to take the top December opening crown away from Lord of The Rings: The Return of The King which took in a regal $75.3 million back in 2003. My $10 would’ve been a part of that except I had to work a full shift Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I’m going to check it out this weekend. The reviews were good but not outstanding, but that’s okay. There isn’t much else I want to see in theaters right now. Kudos for Will, he’s got an impressive body of work on film, seems like a genuinely nice person and I feel he deserves his phenomenal success. Will Smith and Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Jake Gyllenhaal & Johnny Depp are my favorite mainstream Hollywood actors.

I Am Legend is the third movie based on Richard Matheson’s 1954 novel of the same name. Vincent Price starred in The Last Man on Earth (1964) and Charlton Heston starred in The Omega Man (1971), the two previous versions. I’ve seen The Omega Man and I thought it was a teensy bit of a snoozer. I love Sci-Fi so I’m really hoping to enjoy I Am Legend, which I’ve been waiting months to see. I will definitely post my thoughts on it next Saturday.

Combat Old Man Winter the Tokyo Street Style Way.

Far cheaper than a plane ticket, my favorite way to keep up with the stylish kiddies of Tokyo is to spy their latest fashion innovations via the online fashion photo blog, Tokyo Street Style. Their photographers have the most discerning eye for what’s hot. A person can get a lot of great tips from checking out the site form time to time, which is exactly why I do it.

Not only does she look fabulous, but this is even better than the studio version.
